Carlos Lozano holds a Ph.D. in Physics since 1999. He has been with the Fluid Dynamics Branch of INTA since 2001, and is currently adjunct professor in applied mathematics at the school of aeronautics ETSIAE-UPM (Madrid). His research activity since 2001 has been devoted to the development and application of numerical simulation to aeronautics. He has participated in several National and European R+D projects, and has collaborated with Airbus and EADS-CASA in the development of CFD tools. His current research interests include hybrid RANS-LES methods as well as the application of adjoint methods to optimal aerodynamic design, error estimation and grid adaptation.
